what do you guys think?

i for one am surprised that sawk and throh are rares. im also surprised that the theme deck starters are also Holos instead of rares in the set.

did pusa make too many commons and uncommons into rares?
 
No IMO, they didn't make enough holos, so if some rares were holos, everything would be fine.
 
Thank you for the clarification. I was pretty sure that both versions of the starter evolutions were in the set, but people have been saying they weren't.
Is there any proof of this or is it speculation?
 
Half the holos are starters.. Im most looking forward to pulling that Kilngklang (hopefully), the set does look pretty awesome though :)

They ALWAYS do this.

So they didn't list out the Secret Rares or the new "Legend"-like cards? Hrm. I have the list myself, but I'm too lazy to check.
It sucks that they made both versions of the Starters as Holos. -sigh- I'm not going to look forward to pulling 4 straight non-Ability Serperior or Emboar... "ONE NUMBER OFF, ONE NUMBER OFFFF!!!"
 
lol. i feel you. hope i dont pull the non ability starters at pre-release.

the zekrom and reshirams are listed as ULTRA Rares.

It'd be pretty ironic if you were in the Starter Deck Challenge and pull the exact Holo equivalent of the Starter Evos in the decks...

So is it safe to assume that we're not getting any Secret Rares? Or is it too soon to say?
 
too soon. otherwise it wouldnt be a "SECRET" ;)

but i would love the secret pikachu. the artwork/shine is amazing, and i hope that PUSA can make it just like the japanese one
 
Based on what we know from the online Pokémon game, we ARE getting Pikachu. They posted the artwork of it, and they also listed all the online cards out of 115 instead of 114.
 
i just wonna know if REV holos are gonna be different? will they be same as D&P onwards?
if so :( i really want them to go back the EX series style. power keepers. Fire red leaf green. Holon phanotms style. they were much nicer
 
I think they will continue to make the same reverse holo cards.
having a new look means new materials, which means higher costs, when they can just save some money and use what they already have stocked.

i think that is why we also are not having those nice paralel holos we got in the starter tins.

The Starter Tin Promos have a different texture to them; they're thicker than the usual card too, but are more susceptible to damage and wear. I liked the Holographic look though.

Unfortunately, we're going to get the same old Holographic design (sparkly circles!) and same old Reverse Holos (Colors of the Rainbow). I'd have preferred Japan's style - "Flat" Reverse Holos & Intense Holographic Borders (IHB).

Thank god Pikachu Secret Rare's in there though. Great artwork.
 
Oh wow there's not that many holos at all. Many of those rares are just...blah. I'll be getting only 4 packs so hopefully I land myself a nice holo.
 
Aren't they being released as Promos in the tin though? Or are they different unique cards?
 
We're getting the same ones from the B/W JP sets. I haven't heard anything about promos.
 
Tin Promos is what I meant, since we're getting Zekrom & Reshiram tins. They have differentz design & artwork.
 
Oh, I meant the Reshiram and Zekrom that are like fully holo and silvery and whatnot
