So, who's excited about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? What do you think about it? Are you going to buy it? Do you think it's a waste of time? What console are you going to play it on? Discuss your opinions here about the game!
 
I need it! I won't be leaving my house for awhile after it's release. Based on Robert Bowling's interview, they have made it pretty much the best game it could possibly be. Level 70 sounds high, but based on the new points system it shouldn't be too hard. I'll be getting it for PS3.

@Weavile : To be honest I don't recommend for you to get it on DS, the graphics and controls are shocking. This is based on W@W on DS.
 
For the record, the new Call of Duty game on DS isn't Modern Warfare 2. The two arent going to be alike at all. And yes, chances are that the controls are going to be horrendous. I had CoD4 on the DS and it was an atrocity. Way too dark to see anything unless you had brightness on max and were playing in a pitch dark room (this was on DSLite btw). Nonexistant enemy AI. Takes a few swipes of the stylus across the screen in order to turn 180 degrees, even on the highest sensitivity, lol. And that's hoping that you dont accidentally activate the aim-down-sight which registers when you double-tap the touchscreen.

I also wont be buying CoD:MW2 until they have dedicated server support. I might not even get it at all, the whole "leveling up" in multiplayer has been a completely bad idea, it leads to elitism and unbalanced gameplay. I disagree with having to unlock things in first person shooters.
 
Yup I've already got it preordered. 12 days left. I can't wait. WaW is getting old and I can't wait to be able to level up again. I'll be on PS3 but I can only play two hours a day so I won't level up very fast. My psn id is Noob_Sandwich
 
CoD 4 is getting a little boring to me. I'm getting it for the 360. From what I've read, it's going to be extremely fun. And new guns to try out. All of this is a recipe for killing lots of people! >:D
 
That isn't really enough said. What's your reason for saying that? I enjoy the levelling up feature, but it did get boring after awhile in W@W. The graphics and new stuff on the whole look awesome. So many new features to customise your player. As soon as I get back from school on the 11th, I'll be playing non-stop.
 
I agree. Not only that but new perks, new guns, new equipment, what's not to like? As soon as I get home with it, I'm going to play it 'til I have to go and do homework. And once I'm done with that, I'm heading back to the Xbox.
 
I can't wait till it comes out. Also, I heard that if you're a 10th prestige in CoD4, you get a special cameo for your gun in 6.
 
As soon as there is a torrent available for the PC version, I'm going to download it.

The Xbox360 version has already been ripped though. So if you've got a modded 360, what are you waiting for? :p
 
Getting it. My first COD game that I'll own. PS3, prestige edition for me. I'll mostly be playing with my clan.

My reason for it? COD sucks, what's so good about it? There is nothing customizable in it. Plus, the gun camo is person, no one is going to notice that you have red tiger or whatever it's called
 
After the whole "Fight Against Grenade Spam" fiasco, I wont buy the game even if they DID bring back dedicated servers.

aka I completely am going to disregard that and pretend you never posted in this thread, for your sake.

anyway I pre-ordered it and will prolly play to level cap like I did with cod4, I only got to 65 in cod5 because I didn't like the online too much.

exited :) hope its as good/better then cod4

Nothing customizable? Your having a laugh. After going through all the gameplay videos there's too much customization in my opinion. Name tags, badges, logo's and many more. Robert B said himself they made a lot of the game about customising your online play.
 
ugh, I think killstreaks are going to bug me :/

airstrikes 24/7, noobs with pro guns everywhere (deathstreaks), NUKES?!!?!!?
