Should Calls be run in Palkia G Lock?

On one hand, Calls are nice for setting up, but it doesn't help the pixies as their Poke-Power is only activated when played from the hand...

What do you think?

Yeah, I would definitely run calls in every SP deck. (excluding HoPe) I played Palkia for a long time, and Calls have always helped. 4, IMO, are never necessary however and are just dead draw when you need a water or a DCE for Palkia. So if you're playing Palkia/Garchomp, I would do this:

3 Call
4 DCE
4 Water

For Palkia/Luxray, try this:

5 Water
3 Call
2 Electric

Hope I helped, and good luck!

You absolutely NEED 4 Calls. here's why:

You start with a Crobat G, attach the Call and call.
Grab Bronzong G and Palkia G.
Attach water and Energy Gain, galactic switch the call over and free retreat.

Which equals a Turn Two pearl Breath almost all the time. Unless they spray your Switch.

I'm also very surprised that people are saying you don't play Calls in Palkia. Btw I know what I'm talking about, I've placed sixth in States with Palkia.

You absolutely don't need any Calls. Unless you're running a ton of techs which you really shouldn't be doing. Collectors have made Calls near useless, and you can attack if you go second anyway. They're dead draws late game if you're attacking with Palkia, Luxray, or Mewtwo tbh, so there's no reason to put them in. This way you can add in four of other things that you probably need more.

dmaster out.

I dont really like the options of the poll.... On one hand they can be usfull for getting a nice set up early game. But in palkia lock you dont NEED them. Still i wouldn't call them a waste of space. IMO collectors are usually better in this deck but ether or both would work.

With calls, can you get a T1 Spinning turn, with a T2 Palkia X doing pearl breath? No. You already run the pixies, you already run crobats, probably a Chatot G(if you have space in your list/want to). You run Bronzong G, Lucario GL, Promocroak, so I don't think its very worth it. You cant get Sableye/Dragonite/Ambipom donked with a Palkia start, so if you see a Machop start and you go first, just drop a pixie or something in your hand.

You need them definitely if you always want a T2 Luxray Lv.X or any Lv.X and don't want to be donked.

There's not too much to call for if you get the Palkia G/Luxray G start, you'd rather be holding a colored energy and a Gain. The whole pixie pile that is your deck should be more than enough to get you the few basics you'll ever need. I've played Legoes and at most, I had the following SP Pokes out:
1 Palkia
1 Luxray
1 Bronzong/Honchkrow
That's basically all you need, and you can survive very long with just 1 Palkia G and a bench full of pixels. And if I start with Honchkrow, hell yeah I'd like that Honcho's Command.

I think you forgot the Warp energies to switch for Luxray or Garchomp
