Hey guys, it's Wariopower. Just today I got back from my 5th annual camping trip with my cousins. We have a lot of fun swimming, playing DS, hanging out, trading pokemon cards (pokes), going mini golfing, etc. Camping is one of my favorite vacactions. So I was wondering if the members on PokeBeach like to go camping and what things they like to do while camping? Post your responses here! =]

RE: Camping Traditions

Well, considering I went camping with you, I can expand a bit to the situation. :]

I always enjoy the last night where we stay up and watch the stars. We always have this ritual we do near the farthest buoy across the shores of Lake Huron. It's top-secret but an amazing expirience considering we perform this ritual when the sunset is near. =D

RE: Camping Traditions

To be honest, I was never too fond of camping. The reason: we would always go on a weekend when it would rain. This year, though, I'm going on a 10 day camping trip with one of my best friends in British Columbia (I'm taking a plane out there! YAY!). I'm really excited for it because BS has beautiful mountains, and the ocean is about a 20 minute rive from where they live. But I digress. We don't have any traditions, but I've got a funny camping story if you'd like.

I was about 9, and we decided to go camoing. Well, my Dad, being my Dad, neglected to check the forecast. We drove an hour, set up the tent and went for a swim and had supper. Typical stuff. Well, I get shaken awake in the night (about 2:00) and the tent was flooding along with the camping grounds. So, we packed everything up, soaking wet, and began out long drive home. It was not pleasant...

RE: Camping Traditions

Yeah, I think I went camping when I was younger and my Dad was covered with bugs. ;o I don't really like the wilderness while I'm sleeping, but I guess I would deal if I had my friends or something. I like building a fire and sleeping under the stars. Yes, I'm slightly strange. ;p

dmaster out.

RE: Camping Traditions

I just came back from a five day boy scout camping trip, which rained every day, and I had at least a two mile hike every day. I usually stay up until midnight and wake up at six or seven am, make a campfire every day, and cook every meal I eat. I go camping at least once every month andit is awsome.

RE: Camping Traditions

Camping has never been a strong point for me :p. I always go with my school and on the most previous occasion, we all got caught with cigarettes and drugs, our teachers got drunk, someone pulled my pants down in the dark (it was a game), 3 Weird figures were walking about the fields (GHOSTS) yh and thats it. I did enjoy staying up late at night prank calling girls now that's the funny part and we pranked our teachers whilst they were drunk xD

RE: Camping Traditions

Ah, cool stories guys.

Just another thing about my trip, we all had so much fun doing everything that we were doing, that almost everytime after it's over we get really tired and sad. xP

RE: Camping Traditions

I went camping last year and had a blast, but unfortunately we will not be doing it again =(

I wish I had some kind of camping tradition, while it killed me to have no internet for that long, as long as the camping site is somewhat civil (has showers/bathrooms with plumbing) then I have a pretty good time.

My favorite part of camping is...well I have two.
A) The cooking-Lots of good stuff made over the fire =D

B) The volleyball-Get a nice Sand Volleyball court and thats where you'll find me!

RE: Camping Traditions

Exactly, I love cooking over the fire, and a few times we played beach volleyball. We have gone 5 times so far but have only played two of the times. Something should be done about that. xP

What kind of school do you go to?

RE: Camping Traditions

cigarettes and drugs? LMAO
well for boy scouts, we have a tradition of making sure this annoying kid has a psycologically unstable time :F

RE: Camping Traditions

The boy scout troop i'm in goes camping every month, and I go on most of them. Just recently, though, some of my friends and I went camping at the Nantahala River in North Carolina. When we went rafting on the second day, me and my dad went in a 2-man raft. He fell out the back when we went over a class III waterfall >.>

RE: Camping Traditions

I'm in boy scouts and is not much of an outdoor person. I loved our last summer camp I went to
1st I was in charge
2nd I slept on the ground for 3 nights with pine needles which are really soft
3rd It was fun.

RE: Camping Traditions

When we went to camp:
1)It never got below about 88 degrees
2)It was humid
3)Our tent was infested with spiders and ants

RE: Camping Traditions

Last time I was out camping is with my friends [Krucie, Pika, Flyzard] at Aus Nats.

Tradition is crashing at a friend's place in another state.

Good times.

RE: Camping Traditions

Wow, you didn't get in trouble for binging those things? I want to go there >.>

RE: Camping Traditions

LOL we got in a whole lot of trouble. 5 people got excluded. We got a lecture that took 2 hours in the burning sun. They searched us taking another hour. So you know it wasnt great. It was however funny at the excuses people came up with lol

RE: Camping Traditions

Ohh. I was like, why do I want to move to Japan when I should move to England >.>

RE: Camping Traditions

Yh but we blackmailed them lol. Because they got so drunk that they swore at us and stuff, we threatened to tell the headteacher unless they gave back our stuff xD
