Ruling Can Hoopa EX Pull a Mega Evolution Card to Your Hand?

My friend recently alleged that hoopa ex`s ability may not be capable of attaining a mega; so, is this true? I saw a thread(With the same question) that said y`all will not post on cards unreleased in English, but I'm fairly certain its released now. So could someone shed some light?​

Sure, I'd be glad to.

Scoundrel Ring lets you take any Pokemon-EX (other than Hoopa-EX) from your deck. Mega Pokemon do count as Pokemon-EX because they have the -EX suffix and the Pokemon-EX rule on their cards. That makes them valid targets for Scoundrel Ring.

The only Pokemon-EX you can't take is any card named Hoopa-EX.
