Hey everyone!  It’s Charlie and I’m happy to be back with another article.  I’ve been working hard for the past few weeks on my Worlds preparation, and while I’d like to say I have a great idea of what the metagame will look like or that I have a crazy rogue deck that beats everything, that’s unfortunately not yet the case. I’ve been taking time since NAIC to broaden my perspectives as much as possible, which means trying out pretty much everything that’s viable in the slightest.
Through this process, I’ve played many bad decks, but it also gave me the chance to try out some decks I’d previously written off, like Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX / Inteleon VMAX. Obviously this deck isn’t bad because it just won the largest Pokemon tournament of all time, but I hadn’t really given it the chance it deserved or worked...

Ok. So I ran Inteleon VMAX WAYYY before it was even a thing. I ran it as a stand alone deck right after Fusion Strike released. I ran a 4/4 line of it and surprisingly IT WAS POG!!!!! I ran it one night at locals bc I thought it'd be a funny deck BC it is so annoying. But then I ended up getting FIRST and so I kept running it. I ran it for almost a YEAR making only slight modifications like switching out my 4 line Shady Dealings Inteleon with a 4 line of Quick Shooting, Adding in Radiant Blastoise, and a couple of mixed matched trainers throughout. HOWEVER the thing was that I didn't do much damage. The most I could do was 170 with choice belt. BUT AT THE TIME!!!! Lost box wasn't a thing and i put an average of 180 damage on various Pokemon throughout my turn that it was enough to just about KO anything. The only reason I stopped running it is because Palkia VSTAR became a thing at my locals after Lost Origin released (IDK why it didn't become a thing earlier). That was surprisingly my downfall. I'm glad however that this underrated card is FINALLY seeing some well deserved play before it finally retires to expanded. :)
 
I have some funny but actually pog deck lists if anyone wants them. Just dm me
 
I would never believe that he could pilot urshifu Vmax into winning NAIC. Urshifu has really been slept on and it is nice to see that he made it work

People existing isn’t political. Making the concerted choice to not treat someone with respect and dignity is. TPCi (and PokeBeach) has made it clear that transphobia does not have a place in the community. If that is something you take issue with I’d suggest a different hobby.
