Can MS paint be a decent graphix designer?

I recently got a new PC so I don't have photoshop any more:( So I guess the next best thing to use is paint. Does anyone have any pieces or something created on paint that are even a little bit good? Does anyone know any good techinques or anything to use on paint?
 
Don't uise Paint you can't do anything more than adding a 1pixel black border to a Banner or save your Screenshots =P
 
Come on, I'm sure it has the slightest little bit of use for graphix.... right? Not even a small bit of use?

Pros.
Low CPU Usage
You don't have to get an installer

Cons.
No transparent backgrounds
Not that much tools
No Layer options
No chance to do renders
Can't use brushes
Can't use C4Ds
Can't use Stocks
Can't resize images (without creating a horrible quality)

Nuff' said!
 
It is THE program for spriting/pixel art. It can be good for doing basic edits to things sometimes. But it DOES NOT make banners. Some people have gotten pretty good at it(Check out Prof. Shinx's signature) but it's more work for less return.
 
Ok, GIMP is WAAAYYY better than it and it's free...or I can show you how I got my photoshop for free :3
 
I'm not scared about cracking it, I just don't want to break the law, especially when there's GIMP.

EDIT: I thought so, Mudkip. It's just it sounded like you'd cracked GIMP the way you said it. =P

And even though Photoshop is better. Gimp is freer.

Well, you can de-install the trial version and re-install it for another free 31 days =P
