Help Can someone explain best finish limit?

Hi! I was doing some research on championship points and found out about best finish limits. From what I understand these mean that, for example, you can only receive points from two league challenges per season? This seems weird and I am wondering if I am reading something wrong, so if someone could clarify this that would be great.

Turns out that basically if you do good in ALL the regionals ever, it’ll just count your best finishes until it reaches the Best Finish Limit, then ignores the rest. This gives those who can’t just hop on a plane and travel to everywhere all the time to have a more level playing field.
 
Your reading it correctly you can only get points from two leauge challenges based on your placing per quarter this is to insure people do not load up on points from lc's and cups as otherwise worlds would be overloaded with players who have no real business being there
