Hello everyone!
After college and coming back to my home state of Nebraska, I found a severe lack of places to gather and play Pokemon video games. Leagues are hard to come by and tournaments... well, forget about it.
That's why I created Capital City Pokemon. We are a premier Pokemon group/website for the State of Nebraska and the City of Lincoln. The goal is to get a location to gather and play Pokemon on a weekly basis, and work towards hosting official Play! Pokemon tournaments. We have the approval to host leagues, but it depends entirely on getting things organized and find someplace to host.
I should mention that in my previous state of college, I put together something very similar for both TCG and VG. As of this past summer, the league is up to 40 people per league and does official tournaments. It's something I am proud to have started.
Throwing out the Golbat signal to anyone living in Nebraska to join the cause. Iowa, Missouri, Colorado and Kansas (all neighboring states) have organized VIDEO GAMING groups and leagues/tournaments. It's time the Cornhusker State got it's own!
