Card text continuing to be simplified:

"Ability: Victory Star
You can use this when your Pokemon flip coins as part of an attack. Ignore all results of those coin flips and reflip from the beginning. You can’t use Victory Star more than 1 time during your turn even if you have multiple Victini in play."

I'd like to point your attention to the last bit.

"1 time during your turn even if you have multiple Victini in play."

Hopefully this will make it easier for newer players to understand the difference between 'Once during your turn...' and 'Once during your turn... ... you may only use 1 XYZ Ability per turn'.

We first saw them changing a pokemon's name to 'This Pokemon', like 'When Stunfisk is damaged by an attack, you win the game' to 'When this Pokemon is damaged by an attack, you win the game'

Do you prefer the newer versions or the older versions?

Do you think that these simpler explanations will lead to simpler game mechanics?

What do you think about making the game simpler for younger players?

I like the new stuff. See Offing Umbreon confused some people at Nats.

Hate to break it to you guys, but the thing about Victini was just the way it was translated. While it is possible for the English cards to switch to that simpler way, they have unsimplified it before. For example:

English Hippowdon Lv.X
Japanese Hippowodon Lv.X

As you can see, the translation said that you can't use Sand Reset if another one has been used already, while the official card said that you can only use Sand Reset once each game.

Even with this, I still do hope the Ability text does become simpler for the newer players.

Yeah, they're helpful for understanding, and not a nuisance for people who already understand. And this means less to teach little tiny kids who want to play Pokémon and come to league.

Chandelure – Psychic – HP130
Stage 2 – Evolves from Lampent

Ability: Cursed Shadow
Place 3 damage counters on your opponent’s Pokemon in any way you like. You can use this Ability 1 time during your turn, if this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon.

[P][P][C] Ominous Lamp: 50 damage. The Defending Pokemon is now Burned and Confused.

Weakness: Darkness: (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 2

So does this mean you can use Cursed Shadow multiple times if you can switch out the active Chandelure?

trying to avoid typing up a reference book:

the new wording "you can use this ability 1 time during your turn if this pokemon is your active pokemon"
means
the old wording "once during your turn if this pokemon is your active, you may use this power"

so,....if you switch your active chandelure after using its ability for another chadelure, then u can use the ability on the new chandelure once as well.

thus if u have 4 chandelure in play, u may use cursed shadow from active chandelure #1, retreat and use cursed shadow from chandelure #2, switch to use it again with chandelure #3, then switch to #4,

so you can possibly use cursed shadow 4 times in 1 turn with 4 chandelures in play.

if Broken Time Space was still legal, then chandelure could have possibly been broken as you can play its ability up to 13 times (with the help of SSU, junk arm, seeker)
