Carracosta idea

Well, first thread in the Player's Sandbox!

I have some ideas to make Carracosta an interesting pokémon for using. First of all, here's my base skeleton:

4-4 Carracosta

4 Clover Fossil
4 Junk Arm
4 Research Records

So, with this, the idea is to use Research Records to find any Tirtouga, and send it to the bottom of the deck. Then, use Clover Fossil to revive the Tirtouga, and that's all. Junk Arms are for reuse the Research Records.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

So now, here it is my idea:
Carragatr
Nothing strange: just have Feraligatr Prime to attach faster the water energies. The skeleton would be like this:

4-4 Carracosta
2-2-2 Feraligatr Prime
Line of 3 of a grass counter

4 Clover Fossil
4 Junk Arm
4 Research Records
3 PONT
3 Pokémon Communication

8 Water Energies
3 DCE
6 energies of the grass counter's type.

So that's my idea. I reaaally need some help building this deck, because there are a lot of things that I want to work out (and also there's a lot of time since Carracosta won't be in our format very soon):
- A nice grass counter (or just see if it is worth having a grass counter)
- A nice I/S/S line (like having switch because of pokemon catcher)
- A good pokemon list (my first doubt: starter or no starter?)

So, any help would be appreciated! Also, you can comment if you think using Carracosta is a nice idea for this new format.

Oh, and I really don't know if someone think about this idea before xD I just put the idea here.

EDIT: Here are the descriptions of Clover Fossil, Tirtouga and Carracosta:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cover Fossil - Trainer

Look at the bottom 7 cards of your deck. If you find a Tirtouga there, you may put it on your Bench. Shuffle the remaining cards back into your deck.

You can use any number of Trainer cards during your turn.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tirtouga - Water - HP90
Revived Pokemon - Can only be played by Cover Fossil to the Bench.

[W][C] Water Gun: 30 damage.
[W][C][C] Surf: 60 damage.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carracosta - Water - HP140
Stage 1 - Evolves from Tirtouga

Ability: Solid Rock
When this Pokemon is damaged by an attack, flip a coin. If heads, the damage is reduced by 50.

[W][W][C][C] Crunch: 80 damage. Discard an Energy attached to the Defending Pokemon.

Weakness: Grass (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 4

Cinccino would probably be your best grass counter. It sounds crazy, but as far as i can see the only Grass pokemon that's really a threat is Jumpluff, and Cinccino can knock it out easily and quickly. It's also nice to have a fast heavy hitter to take out your opponent's evolving/energying up pokemon with catcher.

^ Minccino is a nice idea. And I was also thinking in a heavy fast hitter, but I never thought of Minccino. So, the pokemon list would be like this:

4-4 Carracosta
2-2-2 Feraligatr Prime
3-3 Minccino

I hope it doesn't get hard to fill the bench...

Yanmega Prime is one of the biggest threats in the meta...

-sillykyle!

Yanmega doesn't hit for weakness with its second attack;) Caps at 70;)

^ATS is correct. The only thing that Yanmega can do is 70 or 80, if it uses the first attack. Also, if Leafeon became famous, it would be a terrible threat.

That is also true xD it is also nice a grass weakness in this format, since Jumpluff is not used (or at least not too much people is playing it)
