I'm running just a few Bastiodons but plenty of Talonflame for fast setup of a Bastiodon. Bastiodon's ability makes it so my oppponent's Pokemon with special energy attached can't do damage to my steel Pokemon. Celesteela-GX or Magearna can be setup quickly with one max elixir and a DCE. Solgaleo {*} should be in every deck that uses steel energy for it's Radiant Star attack or Corona Impact which does "190" with a choice band. Cobalion can be used to stall early game or do alot of damage late game.

Puzzles of time is necessary to get Unidentified fossil back. Lillie instead of Brigette allows me to get more Unidentified fossils out first turn.

What can I do to make this deck better? Cards I'm considering taking out are Talonflame, Magearna-EX, Cobalion.

I've thought about a concept with Bastiodon as well, but my take is a bit different. My recommendation to you would be to use a 4-4 line of Zoroark GX to get out the cards you need faster. You really can't play puzzle of time without Zoroak GX because you will almost never have the 2 puzzles that you need at the same time. We had Sycamore and N before we got Zoroark GX and nobody played Puzzle of Time because it was too difficult to pull off. Once Zoroark GX got released, everyone started using it!

I know having Zoroark GX is counter intuitive to Bastiodon since it isn't a metal type, but you really need the draw power. If you're going to be adding Zorua, It is recommended that you play brigette to set up your bench quickly. You would also need Tapu Lele GX to help your chances of getting a turn 1 brigette.

This is just my opinion of course, I hope my suggestions were helpful!
