I'm wanting to play one of the old games, but I need a little bit more of a challenge to it. I've already done then Nuzlocke challenge on diamond and the starter only challenge on emerald. Anyone know of any other good challenges?

Or, you could try going throught without evolving your pokemon, as seen below-

My last suggestion is the monotype challenge. Select one type, and go through the game using only Pokemon of that type. Dual types are allowed. If you choose a type other than your starters, you must box your starter as soons as possible. If your starter evolves into a Pokemon of the type your using, then you can put it in the daycare and withdraw it once it's able to evolve.

EDIT: Well, perhaps 2 Ditto, where you are forced to switch to the other one when they switch. Although, that would over-level you, and you would double their level too easily to take a NVE move to the face, then beat them down with something else.
You could go 6 Smeargle too, and Sketch yourself a good team.

Lets see....other stuff...Choose a starter, trade asap for another starter (same or different; same or different gen) and play through with a Lucky Egg - see if your pokemon will listen to you by badge 8. I had a level 77 Infernape on Plat before I beat Juan, and it's tough with a beast that takes a snooze or uses the wrong moves - maybe it would be easier with a starter with more bulk that Infernape...
