I got some helpful criticism from mods and members on the previous plans to reorganize the art forums, so I have changed my plan to what is being implemented now.
In the Artist's Studio, post all of your in progress artwork freely for people to discuss. This is a more laid back environment, and not a place for harshness. You may also set up your thread to include a shop where people can ask for requests. This is also a place to start art projects to collaborate on, post tutorials, read tutorials, and overall become a better artist. Offer help to each other to improve creative skills!
In the Artist's Gallery, post work for serious critique. This can range from drawings, computer generated work, paintings, and other forms of art. Even Photography is allowed! Guidelines will be posted within the coming days, but all work will be welcomed as long as it is of a finished quality. (It should be full color/shading and something you might put into a portfolio to show off) Your personal best works. With this in mind, be open to critique when you post work. All critiques should be constructive if you find fault with the artist's work. Do not be negative! Original posts in these forums with the most likes will be included in portal updates and the more staff votes you get, the more chance your work will posted on our Facebook wall! During the holidays, themed artwork may be posted on the main PB.com page!
With the addition of these forums, we'll hope you will all consider engaging in more artistic endeavors and learning some more about art. Together this art community can grow, and become a place that creates artwork seen by people all over the world. There will be more opportunities to create artwork for the site coming up, so consider using the gallery as a portfolio for yourself as well!
Thanks for your cooperation, and happy arting!
