Cheap Blastoise Deck (2015)

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if is it possible to assemble a Blastoise deck that isn't so expensive.

Thanks

Blastoise itself can be cheap due to its Plasma Blast reprint ($2-3, and cheaper if you go with played quality). If you are looking to run Keldeo-EX, that too is pretty cheap for an EX because of its several reprints (its world championship reprint in particular is around $4).

What other Pokemon are you interested in running with it? Which cards in particular were you looking at that were too expensive?

As Purrloin said, it's all what you're wanting to put in it. Blastoise decks can be fairly cheap to build if you're opting to only be semi-competitive, taking cards like Shaymin-EX out of the mix as it's obviously over $30 USD. With that said, most of the cards in the deck are fairly inexpensive. Archie's Ace in the Hole is around $4-$5 for a full art. Keldeo EX is also $4-$5 as well so for the most part, the whole deck is fairly inexpensive to make. I'd say if you're going the Black Kyurem EX(PLS) route, that card will be costly as it's around $25 to purchase one. Other than that, I'd say the deck is easy to build and you wont spend over $60 (if you choose not to use Black Kyruem/Shaymin EX) and you can find a variety of cards to build around Blastoise.

I was trying to build the 2015 championship winning Blastoise deck, but a semi-competitive would do fine, I just want a deck that has Blastoise in it to play locally with my friends.

Also I don't want to buy cards that may be soon rotated out

What cards can you recommend me for building a Blastoise deck? It doesn't have to be competitive, just a cheap deck to have fun.

Thanks

A rotation actually occurred just last month. Blastoise is technically rotated out of Standard already (as is Keldeo-EX), but tournaments this year outside of Nationals and Worlds are using Expanded format (at least in NA). So if your friends are playing only Standard, then you won't be able to use a Blastoise deck.
