Cheap card rumors.

As we all know, Pokemon cards are overpriced. I've heared rumors of places such as alaska, mexico, and singapore selling cards much cheaper because they have less of a market for them. I am 100% sure about singapore. After converting money, A pack costs about 50 cents, and a box costs 15$. What I am wondering is the alaska one. (I can't afford to go to singapore). If the cards are 1$ a pack like they say, I would rather get my cards shipped from there to save money. Has anyone else heard these rumors?

This made me laugh.

And keep in mind that buying them from there gives a high fake risk. Just saying.

Why did you laugh? It's true. I know they are cheap compared to yugi-oh, and warhammer, and all those other games, but still, 90$ for a 1/2 an lb. of cardboared is a lot, no matter what.

It is priced at what people will pay for it. If someone is willing to pay $90 for a 1/2 pound of cardboard then that is how much they will sell it for.

Boy, here in Brazil things are worst. A booster pack costs 15 reais (brazilian currency), a theme deck costs around 45 reais and a booster box... around 400 reais!! Things are expensive here...
But about Juliacoolo's rumors, I think it may be true...

XD. annoying rich peoples.

I agree. That's why i used to go w/ jpn boxes which are only around 60-65 apiece, plus better lvx ratio and more good cards. But yeah, i only ever got like 2 us boxes in over 6 years of playing and prices were very annoying, especially when i was at a spoiled kid's house, and i needed like 3 of an expensive ex for my deck and they were like "why don u hav dem, we hav lik 8 ya." that got so annoying very quickly

My guess is Alaska is more expensive, because it shipped from the lower 48

LOL I get all my money for cards from mowing lawns and allowance. I don't by alot of packs, but ushally get good trades and pulls and that is how I get all the stuff I need. I try not to spend more than $40 on a set not including prerealeses.

Wow. You're not having a good day today, are you? Mexico and Singapore. You go right ahead and by from there. When you get thrown out of a tournament for fake cards, you'll deserve it. Honestly, you'd spend more time and money trying to find a real pack there than you would just buying it in the US.

And no, I'm sure they aren't cheaper in Alaska. Why would PUSA send many there if they were making little profit or even a loss? They probably just don't have as much popularity in that state.
