Cheap Deck =P

I've been looking through my cards, and I seem to be stuck.
I want to make a deck(obviously), but I don't feel like spending +$100 on cards(this is my last year playing) =/
Are there any good, cheap deck/strategies that anyone knows of?
Any ideas for a cheap deck?

I would think of KingCino(Kingdra/Cinccino) being cheapest of the good decks, ask Argentine for a good list. :D

I think the cheapest deck that made the Canadian top cut was ambipom weavile. Ive played it abit and it is really fun, it makes you think soooo much and it is fun to watch your opponents slowly lose from hand starvation.

Also the guy who rocked Ambipom Weavile in Canada has put his list up on the gym so you can start from there.

Bwaaaa

Another cheap deck is Volbeat/Illumise. It's really cheap, and although it's not the best deck, it's fun with Victini(when it comes out) too. But Ampibom/Weavile is a really fun deck as well.

Ambipom/Weavile. I started to make it based off of the list from the Canada guy on the 'Gym. I had 34 of the cards I needed, and after one trip to my league, I'm only missing Seeker (uncommon), Bouffalant (rare, but still), and 4 DCE (soon-to-be-league promo). I didn't give up too much at all, and as long as you're not playing Donphan, it's a fun competitive deck.

Leafrade is pretty cheap. It's a glass cannon, but it can be effective. Leafeon and Roserade go for a buck/buck fifty at most, and Houndoom Prime goes for about 3. Could rock Dual Ball to economize, communication is still fairly cheap. It's fast, it's fun, and it hits pretty hard. Just be wary of Reshiram, it can eat the deck alive.

For a cheap, but effective deck, try Party Face. It runs Weavile and Slowking, two very cheap cards. You can also use Cinccino as your main attacker, which is another cheap card.

IIRC, nothing in the deck costs more than $5.

Muk/Crobat Prime/Vileplume/Mismagius is a nice cheap deck that i ran at nats. Not amazing against a random deck, but a good list beats MagneBoar, DonChamp, Donphan, and ReshiBoar 100% of the time.

"100%"? That strikes me as a bit of an exaggeration...I can see how Vilemage would present a huge problem in this meta though.

Perhaps those cus they rely on trainers so much :p But not typhloram. Most Magneboar and Reshiboar list i've seen here were bad anyway so it's not surprising that ppl not facing those as what they should be.

I get how trainer lock would shut down these trainer reliant decks. I just don't see it winning all the time nor do I see stage 2 Vileplume getting set up so fast that something like Reshiboar or Donchamp wouldn't be able to get set up.

MagneBoar loses because 1. it can't operate without trainers. Period. and 2. If they did get emboar up b4 u got trainer lock, you can use muk to drag him up and limit him to 50 dmg a turn.
DonChamp loses because one Crobat Prime kills 3 Donphan Primes, and when they send up Machamp you just uses mismagius. 3 T/T/S/S in their hand makes it a KO.
ReshiBoar loses because they can't use their Energy Retrievals, and most lists only run 1 Fisherman. On top of that, Crobat prime just goes too efficiently against Reshiram. And to weigh the game even more on your side, you can drag up Emboar to limit them to 1 Blue Flare every 2 turns.
ReshiPhlosion loses because you can drag up their typhlosions for free prizes and to limit them.
MewGar loses because Mismagius takes out Mews for 1 energy, and vileplume limits their options of getting pokemon into your hand to a point that it's damn near impossible for them to win in a decent amount of time.

You absolutely have no clue about TyphloRam lol. For free prizes? You can't beat typhlo prime that easily without ohkoing it, i just burn up your energies. Come talk to me when you beat as good TyphloRam list as what i use.

Besides, losing typhloram is not exactly limiting. I setup things at T2 anyway. :p

Also it's sort of hard to compare when there can be so much better lists than what you've played against anyway.

typhloram is super cheap to make if you don't mind getting promos. reshirams will drop in price since in October we're getting another printing or reshirams and zekroms as promos. I think stop2shop has typhlosion prime promo at $1 or something really low like that.

I would use blastigatr instead though for a cheap deck. gatr prime promo is also about $1, blastoise is dirt cheap, and if you want the holo one, $5 gets you a booster pack and a 1-1-1 blastoise line. delibird is a promo so it's easy to get too. also, with cleffa being on T&T for $5, you may as well get the promo, $5 for a holo cleffa, holo smoochum, a booster, and a pop9 pack. you only need one or two cleffa anyways.

instead of donphan, I would run dugtrio. since it can use colorless energy and has free retreat. only 80 HP though.

Reshirams are alrdy promos in Tins. :D Instead of some lame random decks, i suggest using TyphloRam or KingCino. they both cheap and very good.

I know, but we're getting yet another promo. so there will be 2 promo reshirams, 2 different full arts if you count the error, and 2 pack pulled holos counting the reverse. same goes for zekrom. I think that reshiram and zekrom are somehow now the most widely available pokemon cards we can have. luckily they're actually quite good.

also, I find that people like to hold onto their kingdra primes for some reason..

I don't really like KingCino that much, 1. It's too fragile for my taste even tho it swarms like my TyphloRam and ZPSmega. 2. I wanna use deck that has no real weakness deck in the meta. Perhaps KyureGatr might be threatening but still.

I live in Finland, not US. also i don't trust virtual shuffling too well to play redshark.

Why don't you trust virtual shuffling? It's completely random... I trust it more than human shuffling, in fact.

If you don't play RedShark, play him on Skype, then. Easy fix.
