Ok, be honest. Do you cheat? I'm only posting this thread because at my local prerelease for EP there was a guy saying, "Victini will only be playable if it's stackable." Like seriously, if you have to cheat at Pokemon (you have no life or dignity), either let me in on how to do it (totally kidding), or play Poker and see what they have to think about it. And if you're wondering; no, I don't cheat.:p

Um... I can't tell if this is trolling. When a card is "stackable", that means that its ability will increase its effectiveness the more of that card you have in play. For example, the old Neo Slowking was broken because it was stackable. When an opponent played a trainer, you flipped a coin with Slowking. If heads, the trainer would return to the top of their deck. If tails, the trainer went through. Each slowking added a coin and any heads would negate the trainer. It was supposed to only flip one coin regardless of the amount of Slowkings in play.

First off, it is clear that Victini's ability is not stackable. Second, it is playable even though it isn't stackable. ;D

Oh, wow I feel stupid now. You think someone who's played the TCG for four years would know that. Thanks.:p

Why would you cheat in POKEMON? That's just so sad, the prizes aren't even that big until you get to Worlds.

I see no point in cheating (because I dont need to :p)

but besides that, I think its just a game and it should be fun for both players, which is the whole point of the game IMO. I never cheated but I had some opponents who tried to and I was like "Bro, you serious?"

LOL. READ THE OP.

He thought 'stacking' meant cheating, rather than stacking in the way that, say, three serperior stacked.

Perhaps lock the thread? It's obvious nobody here will admit to cheating.

Some things that are considered cheating by some are legitimate. Things like the spiritomb trick, pokegear trick, etc. Ive used those, but never cheated

At Nats, I was like pokegear. I fail the search. My opponent got the head judge over to our table because he thought I was cheating, it took ike 5 minutes to resolve a very stupid question

I've never cheated. Its just a game, and you should have fun playing it. Where's the fun if you cheat? Sure, I'd rather win than lose, but I'm not going to cheat just so I can win. That's not fun, and unfair to the person your playing.

tell that to my 6500$ scholarship I've gotten from reigonals and nats.

Anyways, no, I don't cheat, but I've seen opponents at nationals and worlds who actually tried to cheat. I was like no... put that back....

I find it ridiculous to cheat at Pokémon. If you're going to cheat, play Magic. There is much more money to win and some "pros" are very good at cheating.

I've already seen a player stacking his deck at the Prague Cup last year, but as I was already disgusted at being out of the tourney because I wrote "Cyrus's Contribution" on my decklist, I kept my mouth shut.

I think we all may have cheated at one point or another. Unintentionally, sure. That's most likely it. I know I have. (But of course I voted "no" on the poll, because I believe the word "cheating" to be defined as intentional) Here's some stories.

Well, to say it straight, I Warp Pointed out of a Spiritomb lock back in my n00bdays. It was completely unintentional, and accidental, at that. We didn't notice until a few turns afterwards, and the Judge ruled that it was too late. I'm surprised I didn't get a prize penalty, to think of it.

Another time, my opponent played a Copycat, and, being tired and all, I started shuffling my hand into my deck, as if it was a Judge or something. Of course, I did get a Prize Penalty for that one. Luckily, it didn't cost me the game.

If anything, I do the opposite of cheating. At my PR, it was Excadrill VS Thundurus. The turn after I knocked it out, I realised that I wasn't applying Weakness, and the opponent wouldn't have any of it, although retracing our steps would have been simple. He was a complete brat, too, and I'm sure he's cheated in his day. :p

I completely agree.

Cheating is dumb. One guy cheated against me in multiple ways at states, and I still don't forgive him. Cheating ruins all the fun of the game, and I don't learn anything when people cheat.

To answer your question, I don't cheat. Dishonesty is not the way I go.

I'd never cheat, cheating is more of a loss than it is a win. I'll admit I've made mistakes, but not intentionaly.

Cheating is dumb. I want to know how hipoke got a scholarship? Did you apply to kanto state university? Lol I'm not flaming. I'm really impressed

A guy at States one time was flipping the edges of his deck and the judge told him if he did it one more time he was disqualified. I was thinking, come on, do it again!:p

One guy at a Battle Roads a few years back was shuffling his deck sideways, and he had it tilted so he could see what card went where. I saw that, and told him that I wanted to cut his deck. He refused, and got disqualified from the tournament.

I've also seen lots of people top-decking, but I can always spoil their evil plans by offering to cut >:}
