I can't believe this.
I really can't. They just don't know when enough is enough, do they. They're like the PETA of the Internet!

RE: CISPA New Internet Censorship and Privacy Bill

Kinda, but from what I've read (and my current educational level), it seems as if it's the exact OPPOSITE of Peta. Peta protects animal cruelty to the point in which it goes to a whole new extreme (Pokemon: Black & Blue will not come up). It seems as if this CISPA is trying to grant companies the right to TAKE your information and give it to the government. That doesn't seem like it protects me.

RE: CISPA New Internet Censorship and Privacy Bill

It's almost ironic that this is happening in America.

RE: CISPA New Internet Censorship and Privacy Bill

This won't pass. BY THE POWER OF THE INTERNET, WE HAVE THE POWER! WE ARE THE 99%!!!

I hope this "bill" doesn't get overhyped like that last one did. What was it called again? YOLO? ARMA?

RE: CISPA New Internet Censorship and Privacy Bill

I hate the stupid government. >_<
They don't even help the public when they try to.

I also hate it when a employee finds out my password, then has to tell it to his boss, who just spreads it everywhere like a insane Pokevirus-infected Mew.
And then I get banned by hackers.

DONT USE NUMBERS FOR YOUR PASSWORDS KIDS

RE: CISPA New Internet Censorship and Privacy Bill

This is unconstitutional, as we are guaranteed our rights to privacy.

Demon: The bill

The old man: The internet

Crowd: The people who have the rights to pass the bill.

I got rusty knowledge.

RE: CISPA New Internet Censorship and Privacy Bill

This is SUPER unconstitutional, and will have to have an amendment, which of course WON'T PASS!!!!!!

RE: CISPA New Internet Censorship and Privacy Bill

This is plain ridiculous, as all forms of Internet censorship are. The Internet is neutral ground, nobody has the right to restrict it.

I'm sure President Obama will veto it like he did with SOPA/PIPA last year, heck even Facebook and Wikipedia voiced out against it so that's saying something and I wouldn't be surprised If Anonymous went out against this it's just my big gripe with them is that they're too vigilante on certain issues in regards to foreign policy to where they look as bad as Julian Assange from WikiLeaks.

I wouldn't put it past the House Republicans for trying to bring back CISPA considering they lost a major election against Obama last year because they refuse to accept the fact that the status quo of our society is changing. Maybe If the GOP would stop hugging the 1% of America so much they'd understand to put people over politics, we've seen this charade from the House in the last 4 years, enough is enough.

Seriously, especially since it isn't material.
Freedom to internet is a freedom to knowledge. Knowledge to protect our futures and prevent ignorance. To freely discuss topics we choose (pokemon!). As well as connect people miles and miles away.
Sure CISPA might not limit all these abilities, but it's a start.

Well here's an Official White House.gov Petition against this bill for anyone to sign, the downside is that you need an account on the website to sign it but it's definitely worth it.

I don't know what's worse: the fact that this bill has resurfaced or the fact that people think it's going to pass into law when so many similar bills haven't? I honestly wouldn't give this too much relevance. These bills have a terrible track record of gaining some momentum in Congress and then failing to pass before they even make it to the President's desk.

I have to agree with Apollo.
I just wanted to see what you guys were thinking about it.

EWW. Censorship. And Republicans. :(

Republicans are the ones saying that this is unconstitutional. What do Republicans have to with anything anyway?
