Strategy:

I had previously created a post about a Scizor deck a few weeks back, the deck took a different direction, instead focusing on Bronzong to power up Scizor's and Tyrantrums. I didn't like it. It felt clunky. I tried to move away from the dragon stuff, and tested a bit with Seismitoad/Scizor. Still, there was something missing. This brings me to the new list. With this list, I have decided to double down on the energy removal of M Scizor. I saw on a Japanese Pokemon TCG site a sample list for M Scizor with a 3-3 Crawdaunt line, I loved how simple it was and had the potential for something great.

With both Scizor's hitting for 110/120 for just two metal energy, you can easily get the ball rolling and take an early two prizes on an unsuspecting Shaymin. Or you could take a slower approach, chipping away at health and energy alike, controlling the game to your needs. I like the premise of the deck but if I knew it was going to work I wouldn't be here.

The lack of any way to OHKO base 130HP mons does scare me slightly, especially given Entei's recent rise in popularity. I had Giovanni in the list until I wrote it out and I will almost definitely be playing one as soon as I can. I also wanted to play Super Rod, to bring back dead Metal Energy into the game, as without Bronzong I have no way to keep going and am reliant on manual attachment and the two copies of Mega Turbo (Maybe even Energy Retrieval should be considered?). Similarly, I wanted to play a Professor's letter to make sure I can have early access to some energy.

I thought that super scoop up could have a fair amount of value here to pick up Shaymins/Crawdaunts and reuse them, as well as denying my opponent prizes on weakened Scizors. The double Pokemon Catcher is included so that I can bring out my opponent's benched pokemon that they're stacking up with energy. Both Crawdaunt and M Scizor can only discard energy from the active pokemon, so having the ability to choose what is active is quite important I feel.

Finally, no Float Stone/Switch is bordering on criminal. It must be fixed.

Please let me know what you think!

Update: Decided to play 3 copies of scoop up and at the moment a single switch. Cutting both Pokemon Catcher, a level ball and one spirit link. I also replaced the Team flare grunt with the Giovanni's Scheme. I felt there was enough energy control and the Giovanni's would be more useful in a pinch.
