Ruling Claydol AOR Blastoise/Archie

Is the claydol aor first attack (rewind) works on blatoise played with archie's ace in the hole? I mean does the opponent player return on his hands a blastoise put on the bench in this way?

When Blastoise is put into play with Archie's Ace in the Hole, it is considered an unevolved Stage 2 Pokemon. Since it isn't an "evolved Pokemon" like Rewind specifies, nothing would happen to Blastoise.
