Is it possible to use cosmic power and put no card to the bottom of my deck and just draw 6 cards?

E.g. I've got 3 cards in my hand and all are important. I use cosmic power and draw cards till I have 6 cards.

Or how about if you have no cards in your hand?

The card states "you may choose up to 2 cards from you hand". "Up to" does not include 0. So, you must put at least 1 card on the bottom of your deck to activate Cosmic Power & you cannot use the power if you have no cards in your hand...

Really? I thought you could :(

Doesn't "up to" include 2 or any number which is lower than it (which 0 is)?

Nope, you can't. You must put at least 1 card on the bottom of your deck to activate Claydol's Poke-Power...

Well, to clarify PPM's words:

It says to put up to two cards on the bottom in any order and IF you do, then draw untill you have six so if you don't put any on the bottom of the deck you haven't meet the requirement of the first part so you can not do the second.

"If you do" is the key phrase. If you don't put at least one card on the bottom of your deck, you haven't actually done anything, have you?

No, I was confused when the card said ''up to 2 cards''. Thought it also has zero included. Thanks, CK.

Are you sure? That means when you use Call for Family from Pachirisu (GE) you have to atleast take one Basic Pokemon from your deck? Can't you just look at it and shuffle it and end your turn?

You don't have to take something with Call For Family. But that's a different situation because it involves the deck. The deck is an unknown -- you don't have to get something, even if it's actually there. Read this thread.

In the case of Claydol, the number of cards in your hand is public information, so you have to put back at least one since it's publicly known that you can perform the action.

It isn't public since you don't have to show your enemy what's in there unless they use mew ex HP or something.

So let's say I use castaway and don't want to search for an energy although I do have one in my deck, I don't have to right?
