So I was looking at Cloyster from X and Y and I had an interesting thought. So say that Cloyster uses "Clamp Crush" on Virizion EX and I gets a heads off the coin flip. Now, say that my opponent's Virizion EX has one Grass Energy attached to it. Since I got heads off my Cloyster's attack, would I discard the Energy first, and then Paralysis takes effect, or would the Paralysis take effect, thus being negated by Verdant Wind, and then the Energy is discarded? Or is this totally moot because only after the attack is finished do the effects of the ability go away?
