hey guys

im running a CaKe inspired deck that runs, yanmega terrakion kyurem electrode, just wondering when i come up against 6C which has hit our meta like a bomb, are there any good fire pokemon that can counter? ive been looking at the fire v-create victini but not too sure about the 70hp? what other pokemon could help counter?

Since your running CaKE, have you tried to power up a reshiram with your electrode? Maybe that could work, since you don't like victini v-create, which i think would be your best bet. Just test it (;

No way. Reshiram needs to discatd 2 energy to OHKO Cobalion and Victini and CaKE does not have any energy recovery, or fire/rainbow energy anyway, If you don't want to run V-Create Victini for fear of it being too easy to kill, your best bet would probably be Suicune Entei Legend's second attack. It costs 2-3 energy but only one has to be fire, you aren't discarding cards, it has 1 retreat so it can get around Iron Breaker, and due to its weaknesses being {L} and {W}, the only way for the opponent to OHKO it is if you put damage on their Outragers or if they get a Bolt Strike off. Use your Catcher to prevent that from happening.

SEL seems like a good idea but i would be to sketchy about it thinking my electrode could get rid of one piece

'Nuf said. {R}{C} gets you 100 damage, and {R}{C}{C}{C} gets you 180. You could always use Plus Power to KO Cobalion and Virizion, as well.

The thing is, it's a stage 1 with massive attack costs. It's also useless outside that matchup. It's also pretty useless in 6C matchup because it can't ko any of the pokemon and they can just outrage you to death. I really don't see how you even thought of Arcanine.

That's how. It's good for KO'ing Cobalion, Virizion, Durant, and whatever else happens to come along that has {R} Weakness. (You never know with 6C. Even though it's not even good imo, it's still arguable a better tech, and just about the best {R} tech I can think of that isn't like Victini HP-wise. ive been looking at the fire v-create victini but not too sure about the 70hp? And it takes colorless as well, so a Rainbow and/or {R} Energy and any other energy gets you swinging for 100 against anything weak to {R}, and OHKO'ing them with a Plus Power.

i guess the vcreate victini is the best answer then
