Ruling Cofagrigus' Slap of Misfortune

Does Cofagrigus' Slap of Misfortune effect the flips for asleep and burn? I don't think they do because they are performed between turns.

Correct. Since Sleep and Burn checks occur betwee turns, it's not affected by Slap of Misfortune, since the attack's affect is only applied during your opponent's turn. It will however affect a Confusion check, as that occurs during your opponent's turn before they attack. In that case the attack would simply fail and their active Pokemon would take the Confused damage.
