Collecting the Best Decks in Past Metagames

Hey guys,

I'm looking to start a collection of decks that come from each of history's past standard formats. From what I've been able to gather, the history of all standard formats was as follows:

- Base Set -> Fossil
- Team Rocket -> Neo Genesis
- Neo Genesis -> Skyridge
- Expedition -> EX Hidden Legends
- EX Ruby & Sapphire -> EX Emerald
- EX Hidden Legends -> EX Holon Phantoms
- EX Deoxys -> Diamond & Pearl
- EX Holon Phantoms -> Majestic Dawn
- Diamond & Pearl -> Rising Rivals
- Diamond & Pearl -> Unleashed
- Majestic Dawn -> Black & White
- HeartGold & SoulSilver -> Dark Explorers
- Black & White -> Plasma Freeze
- Next Destinies -> Flashfire
- Boundaries Crossed -> Roaring Skies

My dream is to have two fully functional 60-card decks from each of these eras, fully stocked with their own energies from their respective eras. It will be expensive, I know, but I've got a lot of time to do it. A

Now I know I could simply just buy the world championship decks, but that's not really the point. I want decks that are representative of the metagame that was active during these eras, not just a deck that might have gotten lucky and counter-stratted its way to a world championship.

If possible, I would love the name and the entire 60-card deck list (it can be a very basic version of the deck or a variant version with viable techs). If there is any database out there that may have this information, I would absolutely love a link. I'd also appreciate the help of any old-timers that were around and could provide this information.

I'm looking to start a collection of decks that come from each of history's past standard formats. From what I've been able to gather from Bulbapedia, the history of all standard formats was as follows:

- Base Set -> Fossil

This would be incorrect. The original Standard Format (which simply referred to the default or "standard" tournament format) was Unlimited (though we didn't know the term back then XD) and would last all the way to include Neo Genesis. If you want to break it up by years, you could get two formats out of it. I'd recommend Base -> Fossil or Base -> Rocket and then Base -> Neo Genesis.
