Hey Everyone

At my school (in Thailand) there are many questions to ask and i'm the only one who can ask so I will pose there questions.

   1. Can I look at the top card of the Deck?
   2. If I use Master Ball/Celio/PETM/Pokeball etc. and if I don't have it, what do I do?
   3. Does Swift (Flygon 'D', Mewtwo 'D') ignore Holon Circle (CG)?
   4. If I use Explosive Evolution (Dark Pupitar) and I get tails, do I still evolve Dark Pupitar?
   5. Sometimes when I draw a new hand of 7 cards and I have the Basic/Stage1/Stage2 or Basic/Stage1 stuck together, is it cheating? do we need to shuffle your hand into your Deck and how can we prevent it.
   6. At my school, very often people play in 3 or 4 people. If I have Masquerain (DX) and your opponent doesn't attack me, will the damage reduce?
   7. If I play with 2 or more players, can I and my opponent attack the other opponent only?
   8. Can someone evolve Mareep to Dark Ampharos/ex if I use Rare Candy?
   9. Does my Hariyama's (DS) Brick Smash the same as Swift (Flygon 'D', Mewtwo 'D')?
   10. What's the difference between (Does 10 damage to one of your opponent's Pokemon) and (Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokemon. This attack does 10 damage to that Pokemon)? If it is the same, why does it not have the same text?

Please send as many answers as many and quickly as you can!

1. No you're not allowed to
2. If you use those cards and there is nothing you can take because it's not there then you can't take anything. It still counts as playing that card though.
3. No. Holon Circle takes preference to everything.
4. No, the evolving only takes place if it's a heads.
5. Depends. You must shuffle your deck reasonably well before and after games to prevent cards sticking together. You don't reshuffle, just continue playing.
6. How will damage reduce if your opponent doesn't attack you? There is no damage if they don't attack...
7. Team play and 2vs2 rules are different. It depends which one you're playing. Check the Compendium for those rules, the link is stickied in this section of the forum.
8. Yes.
9. Yes.
10. If you provided examples it would make it easier, but there is no difference. Why? I don't know, ask Nintendo.

The first one only applies to the Defending Pokemon I think, for like 2 on 2 battles. The second applies to any of your Opponent's Pokemon. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's what it means.

Arcanine out.

The first one is for attacks that have base damage and can hit the Bench, like EM Combusken:

The second is for attacks that don't have base damage, like UF Totodile's Splatter:

The reason it's worded this way is simple. The first one prevents you from giving any extra damage to the Defending Pokémon since damage is already being done. Since the second example has no base damage for its attack, you are allowed to choose anyone because the damage is always the same.

Hope this helps.
