Fun Competive Team Pokemon Play?

At league yesterday, my son played team pokemon play. I never saw it done before but the smile on his face playing it was really fun to watch. The children were all conspiring against each other in teams. My son played Trev. with his partner playing Flaeron. The other children played Yveltal/Mewtwo. It was really fun watch. Honestly, I'm going to try and see if I can coax some masters/seniors into playing it with me next week.

My Question -- Would the Pokemon community like Team Play to come to Worlds as a competitive event?

Just curios if any other players would be interested in the idea.
 
I for one would love it sounds like a lot of fun! But i bet there would be some problems with some cards being "overpowered" as well as terrible in comparison.
 
Ya, I could see that. Though, I think it would be fun to figure out the matches as a team. One could play item lock while the other plays a power deck, and so forth. There might be some unexplored depth to the game that would spark some wild plays.
 
Yes but then i guess some things work and some things don't like vileplume works only if both players set up turn one. or maybe one play vileplume no vespiquen with 4 battle compressors and some execute shaymin etc. and ally plays night march to set up right away then both opponents are locked. I wonder how cards like hexmaniac would, work but i can only see this as a league challenge kind of thing that you don't pay for at the least but still sounds like fun!Well they already released legacy format so this may not come soon!
 
Ya those are the plays I was thinking about too. I think it would be interesting to try and build two balanced decks for team play. I would love them to prototype a Team play on PTCGO. I think multiplayer coop games are fun to play, and pretty big. Having the first card game to work in team scenarios I think would add some fun complexity to the game.
 
oh yes that would be fun but i would prefer it on tcgone :)
