Confused About the Checklist and Rarity for Cards

I'm new to the whole trading card side of pokemon and today I purchased the Mewtwo XY-Evolutions Theme Deck and as I was going through the checklist I was confused about the different check boxes. I thought I had figured it out where Parallel Set were reverses, Standard Set Foil was holos, and Standard Set were regular cards, however when I went to check off the Nidoking and Hitmonchan I got on the checklist it lists them as having a ⋆H rarity when the ones I have are just ⋆, and there is also only foil and parallel check boxes for them. I've also checked and the set number on the card leads me to the ⋆H ones on the checklist, and there aren't any other listings for them on the checklist. Am I misunderstanding something? Any help would be appreciated.

In the theme deck the only "holo" card you get is the Mewtwo, however in the Evolutions set Mewtwo is a non-holo rare.

Nidoking and Hitmonchan are holo rare in the actual set but in the theme decks any holo cards are made non holo as to not steal the thunder of the decks main Pokémon (Mewtwo)
