Confused About Why My Banette Card Looks Like THis

I have a Stage 1 Evolution from Shuppet called Banette, and the card looks like this:

But I don't know why it's like this, and couldn't find an answer on Google. I'm just confused 'cause I know it's rare, hence the star in the bottom right and different card format/illustration etc. But I don't know how rare it is.

Hey, welcome to PokéBeach! :D

It's a Rare card, but it's like that because of the green thing it has, which is called an 'Ancient Trait'. Cards with those are commonly referred to as 'half arts' for obvious reasons. Every card with Ancient Traits has art like that, unless it's a Pokémon-EX.

As of how rare it is, its rarity is printed at the bottom right, between the set symbol and number. The fact that it has an Ancient Trait bumps it up one level in rarity compared to its non-Ancient Trait version.

Hope this helps! :)
