OK, I am fed up. Me and my brother have been arguing about some Electrode that he found that can knock itself out (knock YOURself out) and be attached as energy. He is truely convinced that you don't get a prize when the electrode knocks itself out. I don't think so. Which one is it?

When you blow up your own Trode, the opposing player takes a prize.

The only requirement for its Power is that it must be Knocked Out by damage. Since Trode deals 100 Damage to itself, it is getting Knocked Out by Damage, so the Power activates.

The Power being activated does not stop either player from taking a Prize. A Knock Out is still a Knock Out regardless of who deals the damage. If the Defending Pokemon KOs Trode, you get to attach it as an energy and they take a prize. If you blow up Trode, you attach it as an energy, and your opponet takes a prize. And if you KO something with Trode, you also take a prize.

You are correct.

Prizes are always drawn on a Knock Out, even if you do it to yourself. If that happens, your opponent takes the prize.
