Crobat/Giratina

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this competitive stuff, so obviously I don't have any card right now, but I'm thinking about buying a Plasma Storm Box and maybe make a Crobat/Giratina deck. First of all, would I have any fun with it, like it has any type of chance? Because nobody plays this right here in Brazil, so I would just play at tournaments. It doesn't need to be like "SUPER GREAT", It just needs to be playable and I can make it better later.

I was thinking of something like this:

Pokemon(13):
4 - Zubat
1 - Golbat
4 - Crobat
4 - Giratina

Trainers (33):
4 - Juniper
3 - N
4 - Bianca
4 - Ultra Ball
4 - Rare Candy
4 - Hypnotoxic Laser
2 - Virbank City Gym
2 - Skylas
3 - Pokemon Catcher
3 - Switch

Energy(14):
10 - Psychic
4 - DCE

This would be the basic structure for it. Any thought about it? I was thinking about changing something to put a couple of Mewtwo-Ex in here just for the revenge kills. Other than that, I'm not so sure about the treiners/supporters, but I think the energy section is ok.

Thanks for your help guys and keep in mind that I'm new to this game and because of that I'm not aiming for the ultra fancy stuff.

10 Psychic is a lot. I would cut that down to 8-9 and strengthen other lines.

I understand that, but what would you recommend? More supporters/treiners like maybe add a couple cheren or more catchers/switches? Or even add more golbats? I don't know. Like I said I'm new to this, so please bear with me and try to be more explanatory if possible.

Suggestions!

-5 Psychic Energy
-2 Bianca
-4 Giratina (Bad card in general)
-1 Crobat (3 is plenty)
-2 HTL

+1 Skyla
+3/2 Amoonguss (NXD-PS (Great with Crobat))
+1 Virbank
+1 N
+2 Grass Energy
+3 Blend GRPD
+1 Shaymin EX

-14+14 if I can see correctly now...

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your replies. Is Giratina really that bad? Of course his attack is kinda heavy, but it does a good amount of damage with the toxic damage. Using a laser and then attacking with it would do 160 damage. The retreat cost it high too, but the switches are in the deck because of that, otherwise I think I would get rid of them. For me the only bad thing about Giratina is his weakness, which is dark, making it bad against a popular competitive deck - Darkrai - but other than that I think it's a pretty useful card, is there no way to use it competitively?

The Amoonguss idea is nice, isn't it bad to only rely on special conditions? I think the deck need something with good damage to prevent the opponent from switching too much.

Astonish makes up for the lack of damage done. Special Conditions.dek is very good, I have tested it. Amoonguss is just great in this deck.

Alright, I think I'm gonna use your ideas and play with it for a little beat and maybe test my deck too because the majority of the card are from the Plasma Storm set. It'll go like this:

Pokemon (14):

4 - Zubat
1 - Golbat
3 - Crobat
1 - Shaymin EX
3 - Foongus
2 - Amoonguss

Treiners (32):
4 - Juniper
4 - N
2 - Bianca
4 - Ultra Ball
4 - Rare Candy
2 - Hypnotoxic Laser
3 - Virbank City Gym
3 - Skylas
3 - Pokemon Catcher
3 - Switch

Energy (14):
5 - Psychic Energy
2 - Grass Energy
3 - Blend GRPD
4 - DCE

I'll go with this for now and maybe after playing with this deck and testing it out I'll make another topic to discuss some more. Thank you for your help and anyone that feels like posting please do so, I'll take all your posts in count.

I don't think that amoongus is any good really you're working on the chance of getting heads to do much it's really not worth it if you don't get the heads which is obviously not Guaranteed. The next destinies one is much better in this deck in my opinion

I agree with you that relying on the chance of getting heads is not good, but the Plasma Storm amoonguss is better in this deck than the Next Destinies one that confuses and gives poison to your opponent's pokemon, which is useless if you have lasers and crobat in your deck.

The Next Destinies amoonguss can only work with devolution sprays, which would change all the structure of the deck.

Guys, what you think about a fliptini in this deck? Just to help with the coin flips.

Seeing the new list:

-1 Psychic
-1 Ultra Ball

+2 Fliptini (Accidentally forgot to mention lol)

I was just wondering, is Emolga any good in this deck? One friend of mine says it's pretty good in any deck because of the call for family attack and free retreat cost.
