Just a few minutes ago, I was playing a VileGar deck. He had out a Vileplume and SF Gengar. I played Cyrus's Conspiracy, but I took the energy and decided to fail search the other two, even though I had some TGI's and Supporters in my deck. My buddy i was play against says that I have to search for them, but I'm not sure.

Edit: Apparently he won't resume the game until he finds out the answer >.>

Even if you have/had supporters and TGI cards in your deck, you could choose to fail the search. In fact, you could choose to play Cyrus' Conspirary, search your deck and not pull anything (even if you have one of all three card types in your deck).

Your deck contents are not known or remembered. Even if your opponent knows for a fact that you have those cards in your deck (i.e. he witnessed you place them in the deck previously as a result of a card's effect), the deck contents are not public knowledge, and it's perfectly legal to fail the search. Same goes for other cards that have you search your deck (Bebe's Search, Pokemon Collector, etc.)
