Here is my damage Rayquaza deck list for this year's standard format:
Pokemon - 10
  • 3 M Rayquaza EX (ROS#61)
  • 2 Rayquaza EX (XY PR#73)
  • 1 Rayquaza EX (XY PR#66)
  • 2 Reshiram (ROS#63)
  • 2 Hydreigon EX (ROS#62)
Trainers, Stadium/Supporter/Item - 35
  • 2 Parallel City (BKT#145)
  • 2 Shrine of Memories (PRC#139)

  • 2 Fisherman (BKT#136)
  • 2 Lysandre (AOR#78)
  • 2 Shauna (FAC#111)
  • 2 Professor Sycamore (BKP#107)
  • 2 N (FAC#105)

  • 3 Rayquaza Spirit Link (ROS#87)
  • 2 Professor's Letters (BKT#146)
  • 4 Mega Turbo (ROS#86)
  • 2 Switch (ROS#91)
  • 2 Evosoda (GEN#62)
  • 2 Ultra Ball (FAC#113)
  • 3 VS Seeker (PHF#109) [There was a re-print in ROS]
  • 2 Trainer's Mail (ROS#92)
  • 1 Special Charge (STS#105)
Energy - 15
  • 4 Double Dragon Energy (ROS#97)
  • 11 Fire Energy

Interchangeable Cards
  • Double Colorless Energy (GEN#74)
  • More/less Parallel City
  • More/less Fire Energy
  • More/less Special Charges
  • More/less Switches
  • 2-4 Lightning Energy
  • More/less Shrine of Memories
  • 1-2 Hoopa EX (XY PR#71)
  • 1-2 Shaymin EX (ROS#77)

  • You can use the Hydreigon EX to attack for 80 when under an effect of attack or an ability(ex: Regice AOR#24) at the cost of a Double Dragon Energy. Item lock kills this deck, so be aware of it. I would not call this a tier 1 deck only because of M Gardevoir EX (both PRC#106 and STS#79), which are both in the meta right now. Feel free to leave a comment on improvements to this deck.

  • The strategy to this deck is to start with Reshiram and power up a Rayquaza EX. Then spirit link it and evolve to mega. Retreat using the Hydreigon/stadium into M Rayquaza EX. Then hit, dealing a OHKO. You can then retreat back into Reshiram to attach more energies to the M Rayquaza.

  • It's easy to catch your opponent off guard when you use Hydreigon to attack. It deals a decent 80 damage, so it is sustainable. The one problem with this deck is energy discard. Lots of attacks in this deck require an energy discard or a coin flip discard. This is why Fisherman is in this deck, but I seem to never use it for a good purpose. If someone could help me with this, I would appreciate it very much. Until then, C'ya!
