damage swap decks still viable?

I'm curious if damage swap decks are even viable in HGSS-on?

With a serperior/Reuniclus deck the only thing I see a problem with is you have to go with a stage 2 damage dealer/tank. I see no other options. I was debating making a deck around them and scolipede but 3 stage 2's is just out of the question (correct?)

I'm curious what others think about damage swap decks dying off, OR if they're still viable in some way or another.

Well, they are, its just that they don't really do much to make them competetive :/

The problem is that swapping damage doesn't really have an endgame. I'd say that Healix/Scizor could be good candidates for pairing with Reuniculus, and Serperior/Reuniculus promises to have a bit of a showing in the early stages of the next format. Theres also the possibilty of utilising Resh/Zekrom's outrage as a main attack and just generally sponging damage from the rest of your field.

Seeker and SSU give you a bit of promise, but yeah. Machamp Prime could get some 150 damage Champ Busters running with Reuncilus and its guaragantuan HP stat sponging damage.

Maybe Donchamp with a Reuncilus tech could be a powerful contender? Its certainly not easy to KO them, and with a combination of Reunc' swapping damage, fighting tag and earthquake recoil, there could be a bit of synergy there.

Reuniclus does belong in Donchamp, for sure. Yes, it gives Blastgatr a free prrize, but it makes Machamp an even bigger tank, and buys you more time. I'd go as far as running 2-1-2 in it.

No, well yeah but not competitive, because the OHKO rate and attacks are too high in the HGSS format.

(But just an idea, an immortal Wailord or Tyranitar could be fun...)
