Ruling darkness energy

when u attach a darkness energy to your pokemon who is dark..does his attack does 10 more damage or does it not do anything and just count as a dark energy

The attack does 10 more damage if and only if the pokemon you attach the energy, is dark type. The only time the energy doesn't do 10 damage is if the pokemon you attach it to is NOT dark or has dark in his name. Next time look in the modified carddex to see cards you have questions on.

Looks like we have an endless amount of these questions.... He may be talking about the Basic Darks in DP. In that case, no bonus. If it's Special, yes bonus, not special, no bonus.

i think you got it wrong abit....
the darkness energy will provide its effect if the pokemon is a dark type or has dark in its name, if not it won't provide the effect....

I thought the "DArk in its name" thing is redundant, all Pokémon with Dark in its name is [D] type...

dark energy is used to provide effect to both dark type pokemon & pokemon that has dark in its name but now the energy only used provide to dark type pokemon since TRR is already illegal in the tournament....

and, if the attack is to the defending pokemon only, not to the opponent's bench
