Ruling Darkrai EX Ability

Good Morning All,

I was just wondering if someone can shed some light on a question that came up at our local league. When Darkrai EX is in play, and you have a pokemon with a dark energy equipped to it, you may retreat it with no cost. If blended energy is the only energy attached, can I still retreat for free?

Yes. Blend Energy Provides the Types of energy listed for it. In the case you have above with G, P, R, D it provides, Grass, Psychic, Fire and Darkness Energy at the same time. It provides only 1 Energy Unit at a time, but those types at all times.

Same would work for Rainbow and Prism (if attached to a basic Pokemon)
