What do you guys think about Darkrai/Hydriegon with Hammers? It would be hard to fit them in but it was be devastating in the Mirror.

It's dependent on what deck is popular in your area, In general, I think that's a no. Unless your area is filled with nothing but Darkreigon decks then it isn't really enough to warrant them. Sure they're good vs DCE as well but if someone knows you have them they'll just use regular energy and only use DCE selectively/when they know they can get a kill with it. More often than not you'll also find them to be a dead draw and the beauty behind Darkreigon is that almost everything you draw in the deck you don't ever mind seeing.

Also, most of the decks that are good in the format aren't DEPENDENT on special energy to accelerate their gameplan. Zek and RayEels are both fine without it, Empoelon is fine without it, Garchomp is, etc.

I am really just asking because I got whipped by a Darkregion with Crushing and Enhanced Hammer is there a way around this deck lol?

Depends on what your deck is I guess. If you're also playing Darkreigon then I could see it being troublesome but if he's the only person doing that then I don't see enough reason to warrant using them unless it's to the point of it being a key in the finals of a tournament every time haha. As a whole, I wouldn't feel so bad if I were you because him getting the coin flips on Crushing Hammer is still luck based. Enhanced Hammer is a bit of a different story as it's guaranteed and a lot of energy in Darkreigon decks is obviously GFPD.

I see and yes he was the only one. I am really bubbled on what to play what do you think?

I don't know what your playstyle is so I can't judge really. Darkrai/Hydreigon has a TON of options but the biggest problem is that for efficiency purposes, you tend to cap out at 90 damage a lot from Darkrai. Eels is still really, really strong. RayEels is becoming really popular for a reason. Raikou can snipe peoples benches and allow you to save Catchers for when you get Rayquaza out and can do 180+ damage to be able to Catcher their EXes. Empoleon is a very good deck but tends to struggle in the late game when their aren't as many things on benches and if your Terrakions have been killed it's even worse.

Overall it just depends on your style of play and how you like your deck to be. I'd say RayEels is probably #1 in the format right now though.

If I were playing Darkrai Hydreigon and I was worried about the Mirror, I would find a way to make room for Hammers. Enhanced Hammers, especially. I think it's a really really good idea. After a certain amount of time, with use of your Sableye and Hammers, quite a few of their Blends/ Prisms will be gone, which could be devastating to a build that heavily depends upon special energy. I think it's a good idea to put in at least 3 Enhanced Hammers in any DarkDreigon deck.

If you want to play Darkrai with Hammers, you might as well run a Straight Darkrai/Sableye deck.

It's definitely a strong deck as it's only Sableye/Darkrai and cutting out the Stage 2 line may make your Darkrai weaker overall and give you less attacking options but it will have a little more consistency. I don't see how you can fit Hammers along with Hydreigon and still keep the deck consistent (heck, it's hard to keep consistent with just Hydreigon...).

dmaster out.

Don't rely too much on blend energy, since they are the only energy they can remove 100%. If they use crushing hammers they will be limited to use 4, unless they use Sableye. If they use Sableye each turn to get hammers back just use your own Sableye to get two Dark Patches back.
