Deck decision

I am relitevly new to the Competitive Sean in the pokemon tcg I have bine following the meta for around 1 and 1/2 years and want to start playing. There is one problem I don't know what deck I should invest in, because I don't want to spend hundreds on dollars only to need to by a deck a year from now. So, my question is what deck should I invest in so that I can start to play.

PS. I have decided to wait for next season to start. Also sorry for any misspellings

Next season, the game can be completely different depending on rotation and possible new sets coming out. For the current format I recommend just looking around at decks that might interest you and do some price lookups on Ebay, Troll&Toad and other possible pricing websites.
