How many types of decks are there and what are they?

Types of Decks:
Spread,
Disruption,
Tank,
T2 Donk,
Lock,
Swarm,
Beat-down,

So, Anything missing?

There's the ol' lock decks (currently not being used majorly). And don't forget swarm.

Swarm focuses on one line of Pokemon, and then tries to throw in techs that support that Pokemon. A good example is Kingdra, who uses Claydol and sometimes Bronzong for support.

You still didn't update with Lock, either. Also, there are decks that just try to hit the Defending Pokemon until it falls over, but they aren't T2. Not sure if those are Tanks (though I doubt it) or some other kind of deck.

Sorry, I just didn't see it.
You must be thinking of beat-down decks, Updated.

There are so many decks around. Some people could just make up some random deck because they are so inexperienced. Ya! Go Caterpie, Ponyta, Chatot and Mudkip! Die you 3 Dusknoir! Maybe add randomness and the 9 types to cover for all of the strange decks. Rogue could also qualify, or those who are picky could say metagame counter.

I picture rouge and meta-game as categories as you can have a Rogue Spread Deck.

How about... Bench Control Decks? Or even Status decks? Such as Poison or a consistent Paralyze build?

That would be disruption. As for the others, I'm not sure what they are.

Hi folks,

What is the difference between disruption and control. Going by an old article written by Impossible Man disruption would equate to control to a certain extent. Personally I see these themes:

-) Beatdown (stable beatdown from one or two higher HP Pokémon lines)
-) Control (hand, bench, battlefield disruption all fall under this category)
-) Tank (higher HP damage reduction or damage swamp with some beatdown splashed in)
-) Swarm (lower HP Pokémon which attack for little energies and can thus hunt as a pack)
-) Cleaner (control based swarm in the start with a cleaner release toward the middle or end of the match)

What do you folks think about this classification. The categories are a little broader and can thus sum up more related themes.
