Ruling Deoxys and weakness

So my opponent has this Leafeon in play and this Deoxys benched and I have this Suicune in play.

He uses the first attack of Leafeon and I only have 2 energies in total, that would be 40 plus 40 for weakness. 80 in total.

The question is:

He uses Deoxys' ability, does it also apply weakness for the ability? (Meaning 100 damage in total)

Or he only adds 10? (Meaning 90 damage)

Deoxys' ability says "before applying Weakness and Resistance"

In your scenario, leaf eon would do 40 plus 10=50. THEN apply weakness for 100.
