Hello all!

My little boy is coming up on 4 and taking an interest into my old MTG cards and pokemon cards. I have picked up the lycanroc vs raichu trainer kit and looking to build some other simple 30 card decks to add a bit of variety. Each one I think will focus on a new "mechanic" of the game to slowly work through each one. His favourite pokemon is Bewear and I've built him a dark bears deck that has the mechanic of switching your opponents benched pokemon. The current list is such:

Trainer
2 Hau
1 Great Ball
1 Big Malasada
1 Repel

Pokemon

2 Stufful (SM)
2 Bewear (SM)
2 Rattata (SM)
1 Alolan Meowth (SM)
1 Alolan Persian (SM)
1 Spearow (SM)
1 Murkrow (BS)
1 Petlil (BS)
1 Pikipek (SM)

Energy

13 dark energy

Can anyone think of good lines that are balanced to introduce poison, burn, paralyse, sleep, confusion? I'm a returning player too(I was around in base and fossil days, oh I wish I still had my cards :( ), so any other mechanics you feel would be useful would be a great help. (cards since sun and moon preferred for ease of tracking them down.)

I was thinking of alolan sandslash as my ability introduction as it is a simple concept, but balancing all that card draw may be an issue (-1 Hau maybe)

Thanks for your time.

Maybe introducing an evee with energy eveloution into an umbreon gx might be fun and introduce new mechanics that work with the dark deck
