Dewgong d is quite an average card in normal play, not really that good. There's no way it can make a decent stand against the current Exs and it gets slaughtered by any archetype. It is however very good in pre-releases or drafts due to all the deltas in DF and Dewgong d's Pokebody.

so that means, dewgong d is good against delta decks??

Indeed it is. Let me answer your Questions again.

As for the first question, Dewgong δ, IMO, is just a bit more than Average (or 6/10). It has just average HP and average attacks, but it can never stand up and stall against Pokemon-ex, and other hard hitting Pokemon like Metagross δ, and a few Pokemon-* as well.

Dewgong δ can be made together with Lickitung δ, Camerupt (CG), Kingdra δ, and any other Pokemon that does extra effects against δ Pokemon to make and form an Anti-Delta Deck.

Well, as stated above, 6/10, but 9/10 in PRe-releases. XD

Hope this helps ya.

Actually, they're are decks that run dewgong in it. They use stantler as thier starter to disrupt and discard trainers and confuse the active. Then they use marowak d or dewgong d with scramble and solid rage to clean up whats left of the opponet's set-up. Latios ex d is also teched in. I played it yesterday at my league...trashed it of course. Its not that hard of a deck to beat if you play smart and non-aggresive. However, its playable.

I think the majority of the people here are overrating its usefulness in Modified. Think of Glalie from Hidden Legends. It reduced 40 from almost every deck in the format but yet it was never played.

δ Dewgong is not bad, but not great, either. Yes, there are a lot of delta decks out there, but Dewgong isn't very useful when you aren't fighting a delta deck. Even if you are fighting a delta deck, Dewgong can only do a limited amount of damage. It also still has a weakness problem, and won't do you any good if you happen to be fighting a δ Feraligatr, Metagross, Dragonite, or Rayquaza-ex. On top of that, δ Gardevoir-ex shuts down its body and can then OHKO it.

I would much rather use δ Arbok as an anti-delta card, but then again, it only works well against delta decks.

You could put in in an anti-delta deck if you want. Still, not everybody will play a delta deck, and you might have trouble if you run into something like Houndoom / Banette-ex, Arcanine-ex, or Shiftry-ex, which are all pretty popular right now.

If you still want to use Dewgong, you might try playing it with Scramble Energy. That way, you can just whip it out if you are behind on prizes and possibly score at least 1 KO. Strength Charm and / or Solid Rage might also help out.

Even those options are somewhat limited, though, as Dewgong isn't exactly that powerful of an attacker, and the opponent will probably just retreat their active and send something else out to KO Dewgong.

That is just me, though. You might find out that it does pretty well. Try it out and see what happens.

ok...
thanks.... :)

Use dewgong d with ampharos d and arbok d or kingdra d or a holon lengacy d(to block pokepowers from oponents) its a nice combo.

well, Holon Veil is a body, not a power... though legacy will block kingdra d...

as for dewgong d, I'd say it isn't really good... I think Camerupt CG has got better attacks (bench-hitting) and also the same body, and since it's a fire type, it can complement with arbok d better.

Arbok d + Ampharos d + Dewgong d is pretty much every Anti Delta poke out there. If you KNOW you're going to fightning an delta deck it's great. If not, you're prolly stuck trying to work with Amphy as your main attacker.
