Hey everybody, just got back from my first prerelease. Being my first one I wasn't quite sure what to expect.
First off I couldn't find where the location was. It was basically a large room in a strip mall. When I was trying to find the entrance I accidentally ran in to a Hispanic church's dance performance. I was in the middle of a bunch of ladies hip rolling. Awwkwaarrdd.
I eventually found the entrance, got all registered and what not then sat down with some peeps from the league.
*lots of hype*
I get my 6 packs and quickly open them. Nothing special except 2 junipers 2 catchers a revesre suicune and reverse druddigon. I decide to go with an all water deck with a Kangaskhan thrown in.
game 1
I started with a kangaskhan and was able to get druddigon out and own my opponent. He was able to get out his machamp, but never attached energies to it.

game 2
again I got my kangaskhan and got druddigon out, using catchers to move around damage. He was playing a similar deck

Before game 3 there was a raffle for empty booster boxes and little things from comic-con, I received a "42" movie poster.
game 3
I get my hand and luckily I had my suicune along with some filler basics. My opponent had to Mulligan at least 4 times and looking at his hand he was running genesect EX. (Random note someone got a full art and regular art genesect EX for their deck). I was expecting to do well since he had an EX versus my suicune, but soon he put out a non-EX genesect loaded with energy and destroy my water types.

Over all good matches and fun. I went to turn in my energies so I could get my extra two packs. Getting back to a table to sit I realize one is kinda ripped open already. I kept it anyways.
