That is really limited availability. I'm used to events where you have at least a week to get the event Pokemon. I do plan on getting it even if I won't be able to use it in VGC.

Yes. after you go to get it from the mystery gift, go to the man who gives Diancie in any Pokemon center and save before talking to him.

Also mine is timid. If anyone else has a different nature then it can be reset for natures.
