Ruling discard pile; kingdra or infernape lv x

can i split my discard pile into 2 stacks? one is strictly for energy and the other is the rest of the cards. this is simply to save time and speed up the game as i do not have to take the time to search through the discard pile and count the number of energy or take the time to move the water energy to top of the discard pile.
i am referring to the aqua stream attack of kingdra la.
 
i don't think you can but you could put all the energy at the top of the discard pile and then discard pokemon to the bottom and energy to the top to keep it organized
 
A friend did it with Catty Ex, but at league. I'm not sure if you can do it at a tournament.
 
I think that is possible as long as you inform your opponent for the reason you do so.
Same things goes to the GG deck, some player might split the discard pile into two stack, a normal discard pile & a discard pile with supporters for the GG opponent player to use the Gardy's power.
 
Pretty sure the discard pile needs to remain a single pile.

You can freely rearrange the pile at any time, though.
 
You can always do this:

It organizes your discard pile without seperating it. I do it with my Kingdra (as you can see). It's great so you don't have to look for all of your energy.
 
You could just be human and count! What is the big deal? Come on...anyway, i would ask a pokemon professor if you can have 2 discards!
 
The picture I showed doesn't have anything with counting, it's just organizing so you don't have to take the time to look through your discard pile.

And if you want you can ask a Professor but the answer is probably no.
 
I played someone at nats that was playing infernape. They had 2 discards so that it was easier to count, but a judge got mad at him and he had to put them all into one pile. So, yeah, I don't think you can do that.
 
nope also it makes it impossible to corect an error late game
exmp.drawing out of turn ,drawing to many ,discarding cards with effects such as tg mars
so one pile the picture provided should be the best way to do it
 
People did this all the time with gatr back in the day, so I don't see why not today (no ruling has changed it, so...).
