Do you need a trade thred to trade

I dont have a trade thred, but can I still trade with other members?

You need a ref thread for sure, and a trade thread would be helpful because then you can list all your cards and people can try and trade with you as well. You MUST make a ref thread, and I highly suggest making a trade thread as well.
