went 2-3 in states before leaving since i didn't make top cut. 1st time competing...new player <2months experience. any feedback would be appreciated. I've been contemplating running 2 regigigas ex w/ more catchers and maybe a few switch. Biggest weakness in this deck is slow to setup...I won both my matches in overtime (vs 1 emboar and 1 serperior). lost to tekkarion eviolite b/c bad hand (no bench by like turn 5..with 3 energy 2 candies and no supporter in hand), Mewtwo EX (0HKO machamp 3x) and durant (he discarded 2 energies with 2 crushing hammers in 1 turn taking away my chance to 0HKO with donphan)

pokemon 18:
4-2-4 machamp prime
3-3 donphan
2 cleffa

T/S/S 28:
4 collector
4 communication
4 PONT
4 PETM
2 catcher
4 seeker
4 rare candy
2 Interviewer's Q

Energy 14:
10 fighting
4 DCE

-4 PETM (not good)
-4 communication (heavy ball is better)
-4 seeker (why seeker?)
-2 IQ (getting out energies won't be a problem)
-1 cleffa (1 is enough)
-1 PONT (to make room)

+4 junk arm (reuse trainers)
+1 catcher (3 is better IMO)
+4 heavy ball (better than communication in this situation)
+3 any arrangement of regigigas, reshiram, zekrom, or kyurem (good with donphan)
+2 sage's (drawing power)
+2 N (good drawing power too)

I'd also run some mew two for countering and attacking if I could find the room and switch for switching.

Jirachi thanks for the feedback this is a huge help. In response to ur question seeker has had good synergy with machamp's fighter tag for free healing

Try Landorus. I would run 4 Landorus and a backup.attacker so:
-3-3 Donphan
+4 Landorus
+1 Mewtwo EX
+1 Regigigas EX
1 Cleffa is enough.
-1 Cleffa
+1 Regigigas EX
This way, you have consistent attacking and plenty of backup, and there is more to come!

If you run Landorus, then you MUST be able to hit the T1 Abundant Harvest. You can't afford to use Abundant Harvest anywhere later in the game, and you can't afford to waste three turns of attaching on Landorus. To do this, you gotta run some Juniper, Sage's Training, or Junk Arm.

No, Donphan is better. Why? It has more hp, a resistance to {L}, a great poke-body, costs less energy, and can ko a zekrom EX with it's second attack. I'd add some Mewtwo EX, Regigigas EX, and heavy balls. A good deck will run 10-12 draw supporters and possibly some pokegear. You may want to consider running Vileplume to lock trainers. Hope I helped!

If I run regigigas and other high hp basics is it worth it to consider eviolites? what about super scoop ups?

no and no. They're just not needed and take up space.

Mewtwo EX is needed though IMO because it counters other mew twos and because mach amp is weak to psychic.
