As some of you might know, pulse of the frontier scans are on pokebeach. Now,I know they are in japanese, but I saw that Seaking.I saw too it makes 90 damage for a energy, with an effect.Do you guys think it is a donker?

I seriously think this thread is unnecessary, as it is just speculation for one card which will probably be translated in the next hours.

Anyway, it probably be like the Garchomp promo (flip 2 coins. If one of them is tails, this attack fails).

I think it would be really funny, as seeking cards normally stink, to have seeking rule the format!

Ahh...I remember in the base set days when I played 3-3 seaking in every deck. I believed 2 for 30 was just broken, as Venusaur did 60 for 4. Now, one of my favorite Pokemon might have potential.

And when I say potential, I mean using 2-headed coins/weighted dice.

well there is a "1" in the word, so maybe it mena sthey have to have something else in play. or maybe it's "you can't knock your opponent out with this"

It's gonna be flip two coins, if any of them are tails, this attack fails.
It's nothing special...

While this effect is likely, I would like it if people would stop treating as though that is the translation. Unless you know Japanese, you can't know for sure.

It could be Flip 2 coins, If one is tails this attack does nothing. If both are heads the Defending Pokemon is now....whatever.

Ignore the above now that we do have translations....

no person can really tell what he does, still I had the hope for it ti be a new donker.

Translations are now up, and pokeChamp was absolutely right.

Seaking is not the new donker.....and I'm glad. We had 3 sets with donkers. (Kingdra = LA, Machamp = SF, Rampardos = PT) We don't need a Donker V4.

No, he isn't... The new donker is Blaziken FB LVX.

Blaziken isn't a donker by the pure definition of it, given that you need a coin flip for it to begin with.

I don't think so, Cypher:

Blaziken FB LV.50 - Fire - HP80
Basic Pokemon (SP)

[R] Luring Flame: Choose 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon and switch it with your opponent’s Active Pokemon. The newly switched-in Pokemon is now Burned.
[R][C] Vapor Kick: 30 damage. If your opponent has any Water-type Pokemon in play, this attack does an additional 30 damage.

Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat Cost: 1
Set Number: 19

Blaziken FB LV.X - Fire - HP110
Level-Up (SP)

Poke-Body: Burning Soul
Each player’s Burned Pokemon takes an additional 40 damage from attacks. Regardless of how many Burning Soul Poke-Bodies are in effect, the amount of damage added is 40.

[R][C] Jet Shoot: 80 damage. During your opponent’s next turn, damage done to Blaziken FB by attacks is increased by 40.

Weakness: Water (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat Cost: 1
Set Number: 20

Between these two, there are absolutely no coin flips involved, save from burn damage, and you aren't going to need that seeing as you are doing 120 damage.

Energy Gain, Pluspower, Buck's Training, not to mention you can also use burn to kill the big stuff...

Also, you could use Snowpoint Temple to give it 130 HP, and when you have taken a lot of damage, you can use Poketurn. Since the format is slowing down a lot, this will be the BDIF, just taking into account it's sheer speed and power.

TURN 1 DONKING. WITHOUT COINFLIPS. HOW. EXPLAIN. NOW.

Ahem.

You CANNOT T1 donk with Blaziken. You just CAN'T.

Well, technically, you can with Level Max. It's just hard and luck-based.

You need to have Blaziken FB, Energy Gain, an energy, and a successful Level Max to T1 donk with this thing.

I see what you mean. I didn't mean a T1 donk, I meant T2.

T2 isnt really a donk anymore. To avoid T1, you only have Call Energy. To avoid T2, theres Bebe, Luxury, Roseanne, Call...

Yeah, my terms are a little messed up, sorry for the confusions...

What I meant was that the deck is very fast (in the new metagame, T2 donks won't be available with any other non-luck based source), and in the PT-on format, I think that this is the speediest deck out there.
