Donphan/Ampharos
3-3 Donphan (HS-Prime)
2-1-2 Ampharos (HS-HS-Prime)

4 Dual Ball
4 Junk Arm
4 PlusPower
3 Switch
2 Rare Candy

3 Professor Juniper
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
2 Pokemon Collector
2 Seeker

Strategy: try to set up Donphans fast while setting up an Ampharos or two on the bench to punish energy accel as well as serving as a counter to water attackers and Yanmega who will both give Donphan a run for its money. Cleffa is there for the great start it gives.

Manaphy has more HP and still free retreat, but he does cost an energy. you may want to consider him. then take out two draw power (oaks/juniper you pick) and add two Seeker to be able to pick up a hurt donphan. otherwise looks good. Good luck.

Why in the name of all things derp are you running 13 energy in Donphan? Honestly I think the easiest way to get the two Seekers into this deck is to cut two Fightings, possibly three. Ampharos does help straight Donphan's worst matchups (Reshiram, Yanmega, Water) quite nicely - I like it, and think your concept has good potential.

Alright thanks for the help guys; this was my first time building a deck for HGSS on so I wasn't exactly sure how many energy to run. That being said I do like the idea of taking out two fightings for Seekers.

This deck is shut down completely by Umbreon techs. I'd suggest adding 1 Donphan HGSS normal to help with that. No need for another Phanpy, though. It would at least be used as Junk Arm fodder if you don't need it.

-1 Dual Ball
+1 Donphan HGSS

Phanpy can fairly easily KO Umbreon with Flail.

Phanpy would need 5 damage counters on it to get the OHKO. Umbreon could 2HKO with Special Dark Energy and still survive OR it could use Moonlight Fang turn one and get the coin flip with Quick Blow the next turn without Special Dark Energy. That is also, of course, they don't evolve their Phanpy's right away, lose them, then are left with Ampharos as the attacker.

Yeah I feel pretty comfortable using Phanpy to KO Umbreon; keep in mind that I can use an active Donphan's Earthquake then Switch out and get the knockout that way.

Anyways, looking at the deck as it is now, I feel like I'm a bit light on Pokemon and a bit heavy on Supporters, so I'm thinking about taking out 2 Seekers and a Dual Ball to put in another 1-1-1 Ampharos in order to get them out a bit more consistently. Does this sound like a good idea?

Thanks for the suggestion; however I'm comfortable with a 3-3 Donphan and I feel that adding an additional Ampharos line will allow me to set up at least 2 per game much more consistently which I find to be necessary in some matchups, namely Reshiboar where getting 2 Ampharos out will allow me to get clean 2 shots on Reshiram a good amount of the time.

I love this deck Idea and I want to run it but Like i said on my thread its just mehh to me it dosent have to power i need for back up attacker I want to make this work so bad I really do but hmmm

And I also think you should make it a 4-4 line of donphan and take out the Cleffa. Donphan in my opinion is a deck that does not need a starter you want to be able to go turn 2 and just start pressuring them and then have amphy on the bench to pressure their energy placement
